Your are about to improve (and potentially save!) the life of one lucky pup, as well as to immeasurable improve your own happiness! Every state page here on Local Dog Rescues contains a complete list of all the local rescue organizations that we have identified in each state. ![]() We hold animals for many reasons, and we are unable to divulge why an animal is unavailable for adoption. Our kennel supervisor evaluates each animal and can take one to three days, depending on signs of illness and/or temperament issues. There is no guarantee an animal will be available for adoption. We also microchip and vaccinate all animals that are being adopted from our facility. All dogs and cats must be spayed/neutered before they can go into the custody of their new owner. You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid drivers license to adopt. The adoption fee covers the spay and neuter of the pet at partnering veterinarian clinics. The City Manager is authorized to amend adoption fees for animals made available to a reputable non-profit placement organization and at special public adoption promotional events. The prices are as stated, regardless if the animal has already been microchipped, sterilized or vaccinated.
